Client: Oh, by the way — can you do a car wrap?
Me: You mean like a Lamborghini, or a bus or something?
Client: Well, sort of…
The Story
Having just launched a social media campaign for the spring/summer season, our team was preparing to move on to some projects further down the pipeline — but the client came back with "one more thing": a car wrap. We were excited about the unique opportunity, but the deadline was approaching quickly.
This was a project that certainly seemed exciting, but the timeline didn't allow for much exploration nor mistakes. Thankfully, myself and my team have experience with various types of print design, and we were able to design, mockup, revise, approve, and send to the vendor within just two weeks.
It's nice to have time to refine and polish. But that's not always how the business works. Between our creative team and the client, we determined it would be best to showcase the broader Burt's Bees portfolio on one side of the car, and the sun protection products on the opposite side for a more tailored message.
