How do trash bags fit into Halloween?
Make them fun.
The Story
Glad® needed a sales lift around the Halloween holiday, and they were open to talking about their product in a different way. Everyone knows a trash bag is for, well, trash — but they could also be part of a do-it-yourself project for fun, personalized Halloween decor.
Our team came up with ideas for Halloween DIY projects involving Glad® trash bags, and we landed a winner: "Glowing Ghosts". Using simple craft supplies from Target, we wrote easy-to-follow directions — then, as a proof of concept, we created these decorations and photographed them in our photo studio.
After simplifying the instructions a bit, I put together some storyboards for the animation and sourced some music options. We developed both animated and static versions for various placements and retailers.

Do It Again
The client was excited about the results, and the next year they asked for a follow-up with something different. Back to brainstorming, we came up with "Menacing Monsters". For this version, we photographed a top-down, stop-motion animation that could really illustrate the whole DIY project coming together.
